PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive socket for an electric component with a simple structure, without giving any impact, and capable of gently allowing a cover member to open to an arbitrary opening angle.SOLUTION: An IC socket 11 has a socket body 13, a contact pin arranged to the socket body 13, and a cover member 16 rotatably set to the socket body 13. The cover member 16 has a torsion spring 21 actuated to be urged to an opening direction and the torsion spring 22 actuated to be urged to a closing direction. In both of the torsion springs 21, 22, an urging force of the torsion spring 21 actuated in the opening direction allows the cover member 16 to open to a predetermined angle and the urging forces of both torsion springs 21, 22 are balanced at the predetermined opening angle. |
