PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a starter system speedily restarting an engine upon an engine restart request during halts of the engine, and reducing noises that occur when a pinion is engaged with a ring gear of the engine.SOLUTION: The starter system includes the pinion transmitting power for starting the engine to the ring gear connected to the engine, a motor rotating the pinion, a magnet switch for pushing out the pinion to the ring gear, a one-way clutch preventing the power of the motor from being given in the reverse rotational direction of the pinion, and a control device controlling the motor and the magnet switch. The control device controls the magnet switch to make the pinion engaged with the ring gear when both of a rotating direction of the ring gear and a rotating direction of the pinion are normal rotation, and moreover, when a first rotation speed of the ring gear is faster than a second rotation speed synchronized with respect to a rotation speed of the pinion after the engine is stopped. |
