PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high-density body including tungsten and a thermoplastic elastomer which can be precisely machined and has a density exceeding lead.SOLUTION: A high-density body having a density of 13-15.5 (Mg/m) and a hardness in the Rockwell R scale of 70-120 is obtained by kneading 73.5-80.5 vol.% of tungsten powder and one or two or more of a thermoplastic elastomer having a melt mass flow rate at 190°C of 0.1-10.0 (g/10 min) at a highest temperature of 120-230°C using a kneading machine and hot-pressing a crushed material obtained by crushing the kneaded body.
