PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for manufacturing an absorptive article, manufacturing multiple types of absorptive articles different in printed pattern with good appearance in small lots.SOLUTION: This apparatus 2 manufactures a paper diaper including: a top sheet provided on the surface side contacting with the human body; and a back sheet provided on the opposite side to the human body contacting surface, the back sheet being provided with a pattern visible from the outside. The apparatus includes: a fixed plate 400 provided with an opening part 401 for pressing a pattern forming area for forming the pattern of the back sheet to smooth the surface of the pattern forming area; and an ink jet printer 300 for printing the patterns by discharging ink while moving a printer head 310 to the pattern forming area of the back sheet fixed to the fixed plate 400. |
