PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoelectric conversion device having a simple construction for improved conversion efficiency.SOLUTION: The photoelectric conversion device includes a first substrate 1, a second substrate 9, transparent conductive layers 2, oxide semiconductor layers 5, electrolyte layers 6, and catalyst layers 7. On portions of the transparent conductive layers 2 in regions between the oxide semiconductor layer 5 and the oxide semiconductor layer 5, collectors 3 whose surfaces are covered with protective layers 4 are provided along the oxide semiconductor layers 5. No catalyst layers 7 are formed on portions of the second substrate 9 opposite to the regions between the oxide semiconductor layer 5 and the oxide semiconductor layer 5, and front end portions 3a of the collectors 3 extend toward the portions of the second substrate 9 where no catalyst layers 7 are formed. Otherwise, recesses are formed in portions of the catalyst layers 7 opposite to the regions between the oxide semiconductor layer 5 and the oxide semiconductor layer 5, and the front end portions 3a of the collectors 3 extend to the recesses. |
