POLYLACTIC ACID RESIN COMPOSITION AND POLYLACTIC ACID RESIN FOAMED ARTICLE FORMED FROM THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polylactic acid resin composition having such an excellent crystallinity that it can be molded into a foamed article excellent in heat resistance and to provide a foamed article excellent in heat resistance formed from the resin composition.SOLUTION: The polylactic acid resin composition is composed of a polylactic acid resin containing a (meth)acrylic acid ester compound having either two or more (meth)acrylic groups in the molecule or one or more (meth)acrylic groups and one or more glycidyl groups or vinyl groups in the molecule and having a D-isomer content of not more than 1.0 mol% or of not less than 99.0 mol%. In a time-elongational viscosity curve obtained by measuring elongational viscosity at a temperature 10°C higher than the melting point of the polylactic acid resin composition, a ratio of a gradient a1 in a linear region at the initial stage of elongation before the appearance of a bending point and a gradient a2 at the later stage of elongation after the bending point (a2/a1=modulus of strain hardening) is not less than 1.3 to less than 50.
