PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device for a vehicle capable of adjusting the emission brightness of a display according to the amount of solar radiation while suppressing an increase of the current consumption of a battery, and securing visibility.SOLUTION: In the display device for the vehicle, a power generation current of a solar battery is detected, the amount of solar radiation is calculated based on the detected power generation current, the target brightness of the display corresponding to the calculated amount of solar radiation is decided, a required current supplied to the display is calculated for displaying with the target brightness decided in the display, and which of the solar battery and the battery is used as the source of current to supply a current to the display is decided based on the calculated required current. |
