<p>Retaining ring made of plastic material for metal packages intended in particular for the transport of liquid or powdery materials defined as dangerous, formed from a body (2, 17) and its cover (3), the cover (3) being stiffened by a peripheral groove (8), the diameter of the opening being close to the diameter of the container. The invention is more particularly applied to the transport of materials defined as dangerous by Transport Regulations.
