PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a well-sized paperboard capable of avoiding both the scale-related troubles and pitch-related troubles in a papermaking system, and suppressed in sizing agent-derived stain development.SOLUTION: The method includes the following steps: to pulp slurry with a pH of 6.5-8.5, a sizing agent composition obtained by emulsifying a mixture comprising 60-95 mass% of an alkenylsuccinic acid anhydride liquid at 25°C, and 5-40 mass% of a 2-oxetanone compound liquid at 25°C are added, and a papermaking operation is then carried out. |
