摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silica-alumina catalyst which enables the molecular weight of pyrolysis gas generated from pyrolyzed plastics to be efficiently decreased, and to provide an apparatus and a method for converting plastics to oil.SOLUTION: The silica-alumina catalyst for converting plastics to oil is brought into contact with the pyrolysis gas generated from pyrolyzed plastics to thereby decrease the molecular weight of the pyrolysis gas, and the silica-alumina catalyst contains 40-45 wt.% SiO, 13-17 wt.% AlOand 36-45 wt.% CaO based on 100 wt.% total weight thereof, wherein the total amount of three components is 89-100 wt.% of the total weight thereof, and has 0.8-1.5 apparent specific gravity and 50-60% porosity. When this silica-alumina catalyst is used, the efficiency of conversion to oil can be increased considerably. The same effect can be achieved even in the apparatus and the method for converting plastics to oil by using the silica-alumina catalyst.
