PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a manufacturing cost of a device by reducing analog front end units capable of performing A/D conversion about a read signal from each image reading unit in an image reading device including a first image reading unit for outputting an analog read signal corresponding to an image after reading the image of one of surfaces of an original document conveyed along an conveyance path, and a second image reading unit for outputting an analog read signal corresponding to an image after reading the image of the other surface of the original document conveyed along the conveyance path.SOLUTION: A three-channel front surface CIS 232 outputs analog read signals AO1_FS, AO2_FS, AO3_FS, while a one-channel rear surface CIS 212 outputs a read signal AO_BS. An analog switch 387 inputs one of read signals AO_BS, AO3_FS to an AFE 390, and an analog switch 389 inputs one of read signals AO2_FS, AO1_FS to the AFE 390 (analog front end unit). |
