PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for concentrating a specific oxygen isotope using a semiconductor laser, which has increased safety when ozone is used.SOLUTION: In order to prevent local concentration of ozone in a liquid phase, when a mixed fluid containing ozone is liquefied/vaporized, the method includes the steps of: decomposing approximately one-half of ozone in the mixed fluid, in a low-temperature decomposer filled with catalyst such as platinum powder; vaporizing the whole amount of the mixed fluid; and decomposing the same by a normal ozone decomposition catalyst at room temperature. |
