Provided are a method and apparatus for uplink transmission in a wireless communication system. A terminal sets an uplink transmission mode for a plurality of component carriers, multiplexes an uplink transmission block and uplink control information in accordance with the uplink transmission mode, and transmits the multiplexed control information through one of the plurality of component carriers on an uplink channel.
