The inhaler has a mouthpiece for administrating powdery drugs and comprising a provision device for provisioning stocks of powdery drugs. A dosage and release mechanism doses and releases the powder via the provision device. A release device for releasing a mechanism is controlled by breathing air. A compressed gaseous substance under pressure releases the drugs and is stored in a pressure tank (2), which is sufficient for dosage of the drugs. The compressed gas flows into another pressure tank for movement of a metering mechanism. A cartridge is provided with compressed air.
