SYSTEM FOR DETERMINATION OF APPLICATION CRITERIA IN PL(PRODUCT LIABILITY) INSURANCE WITH DIGITAL SIGNATURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine an objective criteria in covering expenses incurred for the exchange or repair of an article to be borne by a manufacturer in accordance with a PL(Product Liability) law by insurance.SOLUTION: Private key information (3) in a public key encryption system generated from the DNA information of an insurance contractor (1) is prepared. Unique ID information (6) is imparted to an article (5). A digital signature (7) based on the private key information of the insurance contractor is affixed to the ID information to obtain digital signature information (9) for the article. The digital signature information is imparted to the article so as to be an insured article (5a) between the insurance contractor and a PL insurance company (10). A computer (11) for certification in which its own memory (12) stores the public key information (13) of the insurance contractor determines the propriety of the digital signature information in accordance with the availability/nonavailability of the decryption of the digital signature information based on the public key information. When the determination is positive, the PL insurance company pays insurance money to the insurance contractor. When the private key information (4) of a person (2) in charge of manufacturing is used as well, the secrecy of the digital signature information is much more enhanced.
