PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent spoofing by a third party and to provide advanced user authentication that can be commonly used by different companies.SOLUTION: A plurality of business deices 6 each include: a user information storage means 63 in which an authentication level, the level of authentication performed by an authentication device 5, is stored for each user; and an authentication request means 61 which, when receiving a process request from a first terminal 3, reads the authentication level corresponding to the user who has sent the process request from the user information storage means 63 and sends the authentication request including the authentication level to the authentication device 5. The authentication device 5 includes: an authentication control means 51 which determines the kind of authentication to be performed in accordance with the authentication level of the authentication request sent from each business device 6 and causes execution of the authentication determined; and authentication means 51, 57 for authenticating, under control of the authentication control means 51, the user who sent the process request, and sending the authentication result to the business device 6. |
