According to one embodiment, a semiconductor light emitting device includes a semiconductor layer, a p-side electrode, an n-side electrode, an insulating film, a p-side draw out electrode, an n-side draw out electrode, a resin, a fluorescent layer, and a fluorescent reflecting film. The semiconductor layer includes a first face, a second face opposite to the first face, and a light emitting layer.
