PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake equipment for a vehicle, for properly braking the vehicle and highly efficiently recovering thermal energy generated owing to braking.SOLUTION: The brake equipment S for the vehicle includes a braking unit 10 having a disk rotor 11 rotating integrally with a wheel W, and a brake caliper 12. The brake equipment S further includes a power recovering unit 20 having a bearing 21 contacting a heat transfer member 13 formed on a frictional sliding portion of the disk rotor 11, and a thermoelectric conversion portion 22 formed on a body side without transmitting the rotation of the disk rotor 11 by intervention of the bearing 21. The thermoelectric conversion section 22 recovers frictional heat (thermal energy) generated in the frictional sliding section via the heat transfer member 13 and the bearing 21, and converts the recovered frictional heat (thermal energy) into regenerative energy (electric energy). The thus converted regenerative energy (electric energy) is stored in a battery 26 via a transformer circuit 25. |
