PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering wheel deformed when applied with a shock to absorb the shock, while satisfying the requirements for suppressing the lowering of the strength and reducing weight.SOLUTION: A frame portion of the steering wheel is made up of a core metal 29 provided with a rim core metal 40, a boss core metal 30, and a plurality of spoke core metals 45-47. The roughly annular-shaped rim core metal 40 with the inside formed hollow is formed by joining a pair of resin-made half segments 41 divided into halves in the fore-and-aft direction along the rotational axis L1 of a steering shaft 11 to each other. At least one of the plurality of the spoke core metals 45-47 is formed of a metal, and has a scheduled deformation portion deformed according to a certain part of itself. The front half segment 41 is formed in a state where outer end portions 45A, 46A, 47A of the spoke metal cores 45-47 have been wrapped up in the resin molding time, the metallic spoke metal cores 45-47 being employed as inserts. |
