PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination device capable of improving not only light-emitting efficiency but also reducing generation of noise.SOLUTION: In the illumination device equipped with a light-emitting part and a constant current control part 15 and/or a constant voltage control part 16 in which a light amount of the light-emitting part is controlled based on a control signal, the constant current control part 15 and/or the constant voltage control part 16 are equipped with a light amount controlling means to control the light amount by changing the current and/or the voltage supplied to the light-emitting part according to the control signal. Since a switching element is not used for dimming of the light-emitting part, the noise accompanying on/off operation of the switching element is not generated, so that the noise can be reduced. Moreover, in case the dimming is carried out by changing the amount of current by the constant current control part 15, a prescribed amount of light can be obtained with a less input power compared with the PWM method, and the light-emitting efficiency can be improved. |
