PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crosslinking agent with which an outstanding water absorbing property almost equal to that of a crosslinking agent having an epoxy group is provided, and with which a problem of skin irritation can be avoided, and a water-absorbing resin using the same.SOLUTION: The crosslinking agent and a water-absorbing resin using the same is disclosed. The crosslinking agent has no epoxy group, and has at least two hydroxy ester units in the structure. The water-absorbing resin obtained by using the crosslinking agent provides an outstanding water absorbing property without causing the problem of skin irritation. |
