PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost base isolation structure which reduces or prevents rocking vibrations of a structure.SOLUTION: In the base isolation structure 10 provided with a base isolating device 14 supporting the weight of a structure body 12, the base isolating device 14 is arranged at the height position where an overturning moment applied to the structure body 12 by an earthquake force is reduced. The base isolation structure 10 further includes a base part 16 arranged adjacently to the structure body 12 from a supporting foundation 20 to a middle height of the structure body 12 in a manner that it does not come into direct contact with the structure body 12. The base isolating device 14 is arranged between the structure body 12 and the base part 16. |
