PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical transmission substrate in which thermal expansion of an optical transmission part is suppressed, and to provide an optical module.SOLUTION: The optical transmission substrate is equipped with a substrate and a dielectric layer situated on the substrate. The dielectric layer includes a first region having an installation face for setting an integrated circuit element and having an optical path conversion surface for reflecting light and converting an optical path; and a second region situated in the periphery of the first region through a groove between the first and second regions and which inside has an optical transmission part for transmitting light, and which, with an end of the optical transmission part exposed, has an optical derivation surface facing the optical path conversion surface. |
