PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent functions of an air stream directed to the rear of a roller beam from being disturbed by surely guiding a fiber scraped off from a bottom clearer cloth to a fiber conveying means arranged in the rear of the roller beam without regard to the presence of the air stream directed to the rear of the roller beam. SOLUTION: This cleaning apparatus is a roving frame capable of scraping off a fiber sticking to a bottom clearer cloth 6 with a scraper 9, dropping the fiber, guiding the dropped fiber with a guide plate 30, making the fiber reach a conveyor device 29 arranged in the rear of a roller beam 1, lowering and tilting the lower end of the guide plate 30 so as to extend to a position corresponding to the rear end of the roller beam 1, making a gapΔD for smoothing the flow of the air stream moving along the top surface of the roller beam 1 to the conveyor 29 present between the lower end of the guide plate 30 and the top surface of the roller beam 1 and reciprocating the guide plate 30 together with the scraper 9 in the running direction of the bottom clearer cloth 6.
