PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain ceramic particles of moderate particle size by heating a ceramic forming metal compound solution.SOLUTION: In a method for producing a ceramic by heating a ceramic forming metal compound solution prepared by dissolving a ceramic forming metal compound, a ceramic forming metal compound solution containing a polymer material, whose weight loss percentage on heating at the thermal decomposition start temperature of the ceramic forming metal compound is <100 wt.%, is heated to a temperature equal to or higher than the decomposition start temperature of the ceramic forming metal compound. |
