摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnesium based alloy for high temperature with improved strength and improved deformation resistance at high temperature, and also to provide a method for manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: This method is used for manufacturing the magnesium based alloy for a product for high temperature. Magnesium or the magnesium alloy is dissolved in a liquid state, CaO that is 1.4 times of a weight of a target composition of final Ca is added to a surface of a melt where the magnesium or the magnesium alloy is dissolved, and a target Ca amount is generated in the magnesium or the magnesium alloy by the reducing action of the melt and the added CaO. The generated Ca amount is 0.8-2.4 wt.%, and the final composition of the Mg alloy contains 6.0-8.0 wt.% of Al, 0.1-0.3 wt.% of Mn, 0.2-0.3 wt.% of Sr, <0.04 wt.% of Zn, <0.9 wt.% of Sn and the balance Mg.
