PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope system carrying out observation based on characteristics of a light emitting element such as various special light observation.SOLUTION: An endoscope 12 of the endoscope system 10 includes an insertion part 22; a light guide 14 guiding illumination light of a light source device 14 to the tip of the insertion part; the light emitting element 92 emitting illumination light of a wavelength band used in a second observation mode; and an imaging element 74a connected to a processor 16, incorporating light of a wavelength band of return light of illumination light of a wavelength band used in a first observation mode and light of a wavelength band of return light of illumination light of a wavelength band used in the second observation mode, and inputting incorporated signals to the processor. The processor is capable of processing signals input and captured by the imaging element in the first observation mode, and signals input and captured by the imaging element in the second observation mode, based on the kind of the light emitting element. |
