The present invention relates to a method for extracting an anticaries substance from licorice, wherein the method comprises: immersing dried licorice root powder in edible alcohol, and extracting and filtering active ingredients; removing the extractant from the filtered liquid extract; repeatedly extracting the liquid extract, from which the extractant has been removed, using ethyl acetate and distilled water, and again removing the extractant; using a mixed solvent comprising hexane and acetone to divide the obtained extract into silica gel columns and obtain fractions thereof; using the method of checking through TLC to obtain fractions having good antibacterial properties in order to extract an anti-S treptococcus mutans substance using only the extractants that can be used in the production of functional raw materials for health food; and mixing same into an anticaries composition so as to achieve good caries prevention effects. |
