PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel (aryl)difluoroacetic acid ester derivative which is useful as a drug and an agricultural chemical and synthetic intermediates thereof and a process for simply and efficiently producing the (aryl)difluoroacetic acid ester derivative.SOLUTION: The (aryl)difluoroacetic acid ester derivative is represented by formula (1a) (wherein Aris an oxazol-5-yl group, 2,4-diphenyloxazol-5-yl group, a thiazol-5-yl group, a 2-acetylaminothiadiazol-5-yl group or a 2-amino-1,3,4-thiazol-5-yl group and Ris a 1-4C alkyl group).
