PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve accuracy and a gradation property of colors whose high accuracy is requested in an output of a color image while suppressing an increase in colorimetry points.SOLUTION: Lattice points of respective lattices obtained by equally dividing a CMY three-dimensional cubic lattice space are set as colorimetry points, lattice points of respective lattices obtained by dividing respective lattices from a straight line up to a fixed distance, in which CMY output amounts are equal, into four sections are set as colorimetry points (S210), and lattice points of respective lattices obtained by dividing lattices belonging to a beige area including beige in a center into four sections are set as colorimetry points (S220). Namely, colorimetry points are set so that densities of a gray area and the beige area may be increased. Consequently, as compared with a method for equally arranging the same number of colorimetry points, accuracy can be improved in conversion to CMY output amounts of respective colors of RGB=(x, y, z) in the gray area and the beige area which may be distinguished by human eyes even in a slight color difference or gradation difference. |
