PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent device comprised of four resonators.SOLUTION: The organic electroluminescent device includes at least a first electrode, an organic electroluminescent layer, a second electrode, a low-refractive index layer, and a high-refractive index layer in this order. The first electrode is a reflecting electrode. The second electrode consists of a translucent metal film and a transparent oxide conductive film. Four resonators are comprised of the first electrode, the translucent metal film, the transparent oxide conductive film, the low-refractive index layer, and the high-refractive index layer. The organic electroluminescent layer comes to be an optical path length-adjusting layer of a first resonator. The transparent oxide conductive film comes to be an optical path length-adjusting layer of a second resonator. The low-refractive index layer comes to an optical path length-adjusting layer of a third resonator. The high-refractive index layer comes to be a fourth optical path length-adjusting layer. |
