The device has a gripper holder (7) movable between a shaped brick receiving region and a spaced shaped brick delivery region. A shaped brick is engaged with gripper units (8) attached to the gripper holder. A position changing device is provided with a distance changing device for changing the mutual distance of the gripper units and/or an angle adjusting device for adjusting an angle between the gripper units and the gripper holder so that the mutual positioning of the shaped brick is changed between the receiving region and the delivery region.
