The invention relates to an agglomerated welding flux comprising, expressed as wt% of flux: 0.1 to 0.6% carbon (C), 0.3 to 3% manganese (Mn), less than 0.006% sulphur (S), less than 0.015% lead (Pb), less than 0.025% phosphorus (P), 0.1 to 0.8% titanium (Ti), less than 0.02% antimony (Sb), and in which: (% S) + (% Sb) + (% P) + (% Pb) < 0.040% where: (% S), (% Sb), (% P) and (% Pb) are the quantities by weight (expressed in wt% of flux) of the elements S, Sb, P and Pb respectively, within the flux. The invention also relates to a welding wire that can be used with this flux and to a method for submerged arc welding of CrMoV steels using this flux and this wire in order to reduce or minimize the risks of the welds thus obtained cracking upon reheating during a post-welding stress-relief heat treatment. |
