PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for removing an asbestos pipe, which prevents scattering of asbestos during demolition of a building having the embedded asbestos pipe, and which enhances working efficiency and safety.SOLUTION: In this method for removing the asbestos pipe by ultrahigh-pressure water jetting, a water pipe rotating device, in which a water pipe having an injection nozzle head provided at a lower end is rotated by an air motor, is connected to a lowering device by means of a wire and suspended from an upper portion of the asbestos pipe; the asbestos pipe is gradually removed along with manual downward movement from an upper end of the asbestos pipe while being rotated on its axial center by the air motor through the use of the water pipe rotating device concurrently with the ultrahigh-pressure water jetting from the injection nozzle head; the asbestos pipe is removed in a range from an upper portion to a lower portion while an additional water pipe lance is added by means of a coupler when the length of a water pipe lance becomes insufficient; and crushed matter of the removed asbestos pipe is sucked in and removed together with treated water, containing the crushed matter, by means of a suction device. |
