PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle-mounted navigation device allowing a user to immediately and clearly understand a course instruction in the route guidance when turning to the right or left at an intersection. SOLUTION: In the vehicle-mounted navigation device, a road branching point where a vehicle changes the traveling direction is specified on a guidance route from the current position to a set destination. When the current position approaches the road branching point on the guidance route within a prescribed distance, a field of view including the road branching point in front of the vehicle is imaged as a road branching point image. A landmark object by which the user identifies the precise existence position of the road branching point in the front part of the traveling road is extracted on the imaged road branching point image.
