A pouch type secondary battery includes a bare cell composed of a PCM, a case covering the PCM, an electrode assembly, and a pouch housing the electrode assembly. The pouch has a sealing portion with tabs, the sealing portion includes a PCM enclosure, and the PCM enclosure and a PCM seat are formed on at least one side of the bare cell. The pouch type secondary battery may further include an external material having upper and lower openings. Further, a can type secondary battery is composed of a PCM, a case covering the PCM, an electrode assembly, and a can housing the electrode assembly, and includes a cap assembly closing an opening of the can. Further, a PCM enclosure and a PCM seat are formed on at least one side of the bare cell. |
