Disclosed is an optical communication module that is capable of preventing the deterioration of communication performance from the misalignment of the light emitting unit or light receiving unit of a photoelectric device, lenses, optical fibers, or the like, reducing the number of components, and facilitating the production process. Also disclosed is a production method for the optical communication module. An OSA (1) has a configuration in which a base component (10) equipped with a photodiode (25), a lens component (40), and a cylinder component (50) are fixed in a connected manner. The center of the light receiving unit of the photodiode (25) equipped in the base component (10) and the center of the lens component (40) are aligned by image-recognition alignment that is performed on the basis of an imaged taken by a camera (7) from the top of the base component (10); or the center of the lens component (40) and the center of the cylinder component (50) are aligned on the basis of an image taken by the camera from the top of the lens component (40). |
