PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a content management device, a management method, and a management system which briefly express tree type hierarchical folder structure for classifying and managing a large amount of content data.SOLUTION: The content management device has: a means for storing at least a folder data base and a content data base; a means for detecting a direction and tilt of the device; a display means for displaying data stored in a recording means; a means for generating the display data for displaying folder constitution of the folder data base and content data of the content data base on the display means based on information detected by a sensor means; and a control means controlling the sensor mens and a user interface means. The means for generating display data generates display data by switching a vertical type folder user interface displaying the tree type hierarchical folder structure and a horizontal type folder user interface.
