PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording method by which an image, that has quick drying properties, only a few ink blot, high image quality and excellent scratch resistance, can be obtained on a recording medium having the unabsorbent or low-absorbency surface to be recorded.SOLUTION: The inkjet recording method comprises the steps of: ejecting a water-based ink composition to the recording medium exhibiting un-absorbency or low absorbency to inks while heating the recording medium to 40-60°C; and drying the water-based ink composition ejected to the recording medium by heating the recording medium to 40-90°C. The water-based ink composition contains water, at least one water-insoluble colorant, a solvent having low surface tension, a surfactant, at least one nitrogen-containing solvent selected from 2-pyrrolidone and N,N'-dimethylpropylene urea, and a water-insoluble thermoplastic resin particle including a urethane resin at the least. The content of the nitrogen-containing solvent is 3-15 mass% and that of the water-insoluble thermoplastic resin particle is 1-8 mass%. |
