PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system which supports editing a video image to be reproduced in a recording and reproducing device, or the like, by specifying the start and end points of a part to be edited based on the content of user operation during viewing the video.SOLUTION: The video editing support system stores point information indicating a part determined to be important by a person who reproduces a video image, and determines an important range in the video image by using the point information thus stored. The range in the video image containing the content determined to be unnecessary is also determined simultaneously using a result of determining the important range. The video is processed automatically based on the determination result, and a processed image is displayed on the display of the person who reproduces the video. |
