Provided is a structure that ensures passenger space in the event of vehicle roll over and minimizes protrusion of the roof side portion, which has highly efficient load absorption and distribution, into the vehicle cabin, without sacrificing vehicle cabin space or requiring deep drawing press molding for increasing the section modulus of the roof side portion. A roof side rail has a closed cross section formed by connection flanges of an outer panel and an inner panel joining with each other, and a relationship between A, which is a product of a thickness and a yield point of the outer panel, and B, which is a product of a thickness and a yield point of the inner panel, satisfies A≦̸B.
