PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner capable of emitting ion stably for a long period of time.SOLUTION: The vacuum cleaner includes: an electric blower 2 for generating suction wind; an ion generator 26 for generating ion; a ventilation channel 27 for releasing ion generated from the ion generator 26 to the atmosphere; a dust collection chamber 5 for capturing dust; and a suction nozzle (not illustrated) communicating with the electric blower 2 for sucking dust. Part of the exhaust air from the electric blower 2 is made to join at a position on the halfway of the ventilation channel 27 to emit the ion to the atmosphere by the venturi effect. As a result, micro dust such as carbon, passing through the dust collection chamber 5 or generated from the electric blower 2, does not adhere to the ion generator 26 nor accumulate, and temperature rise in the ion generator 26 caused by exhaust heat is prevented, so that the life of the ion generator 26 can be extended and the durability can be improved. In this way, the vacuum cleaner for generating ion stably for a long period of time can be provided. |
