PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutter that can be quickly and easily assembled and a shredder equipped with the same.SOLUTION: The cutter is for cutting paper and is composed of: a first and second shaft parts that are arranged in parallel across a space where the paper passes through and are each rotatable; a blade part that is provided for each of the first and second shaft parts and that cuts and delivers the paper in accordance with the rotation of the first and second shaft parts; gears that are provided for each of the first and second shaft parts and are meshed with each other; and a fixing part which, with the first and second shaft parts put through, fixes the gear in each of the first and second shaft parts. The cutter is characterized in that the fixing part is provided with an engaging part projecting radially inward and elastically deformable and that the first and second shaft parts are each provided with a part which is engaged with the engaging part. |
