PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the occurrence of paper feed failure when feeding a bundle of recording materials in which the recording materials are bonded one to another.SOLUTION: A binding mechanism for binding a bundle P of recording materials by applying pressure to the bundle P from the direction of the thickness of the bundle P of recording materials is provided in a post-processing device. When the bundles P of recording materials, bound by the binding mechanism, are housed in the paper housing sections 110A to 110C of an image forming apparatus, and the recording materials P are fed toward an image forming section from the paper housing sections 110A to 110C, the binding mechanism sets the position of formation of a press-binding portion S so that the recording materials P pass through a place separated from the area of the arrangement of a feed roll 112 and retard roll 113 with respect to a direction orthogonal to the direction of conveyance of the recording materials P. |
