PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retardation film with small retardation unevenness, which enables to provide a liquid crystal display wherein the occurrence of color unevenness and contrast unevenness is suppressed.SOLUTION: The retardation film is obtained by uniaxially stretching a PVA-based polymer film. When a measurement point (C) is set to a point of a width-direction central part of the retardation film and a plurality of measurement points (T) are set over the entire width direction at intervals of 5 cm in the width direction in such a way that the measurement points (T) include the measurement point (C), (1) an in-plane retardation value at the measurement point (C) is 50-1,000 nm, (2) the difference between the maximum and minimum values among in-plane retardation values at all the measurement points (T) including the measurement point (C) is ≤50 nm, and (3) the absolute value of the difference between in-plane retardation values at adjacent two measurement points (T) is ≤10 nm with respect to all adjacent two measurement points (T). |
