PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve element for a butterfly valve capable of correcting molding failure of which sealing property is guaranteed and a method for manufacturing it.SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the valve element for the butterfly valve includes a step for arranging a glass fiber sheet base material 21 along a bottom face of a recessed part 11a of a female 11 and arranging a valve rod insertion hole formation shaft 13 (around which the glass fiber sheet base material 22 is wounded) for the female mold 11, a step for filling glass fiber sheet base materials 23, 24, 25 in a space formed around the valve rod insertion hole formation shaft 13, a step for arranging a preform 26, in which the glass fiber sheet base material is bent to form a substantially V-shape with a half part 26a and another half part 26b, so that the former half part 26a is stored in the female mold 11 and the latter half part 26b is exposed from the female mold 11 and a step for filling the glass fiber sheet base material small pieces 25 in a space formed between the former half part 26a and the latter half part 26b of the preform 26. |
