PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for estimating a corrosion rate of a metal material which accurately and simply calculates the corrosion rate, without having to conduct research and measurement of a solution resistance in an environment around a measurement object and a corrosion mechanism, when corrosion monitoring of the metal material is implemented, using an electrochemical noise method.SOLUTION: The method for estimating the corrosion rate of the metal material by using the electrochemical noise method includes the zone extraction process for extracting at least one zone in which a current value is continuously increased or decreased, a potential value is continuously increased or decreased, and four or more current values and potential values are included with regard to the current values and the potential values obtained by temporally measuring the metal material; a polarization resistance calculation process; and the corrosion rate calculation process. |
