PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To implement a heterodyne light source with a high output and a high frequency accuracy by using an optical frequency comb device.SOLUTION: A heterodyne light source (1) includes an optical frequency comb device (1) which generates an optical frequency comb, a first frequency variable laser (3) which generates first output light, first frequency control mechanisms (5 and 7), a second frequency variable laser (4) which generates second output light, second frequency control mechanisms (6 and 8), and an optical coupler (20) which superposes the first output light and the second output light one over the other to generate an optical output. The first frequency control mechanisms adjust a frequency of the first output light to a frequency higher than a frequency in an m-order mode of the optical frequency comb by Δin response to light resulting from superposing the first output light and the optical frequency comb one over the other. The second frequency control mechanisms adjust a frequency of the second output light to a frequency higher than a frequency in an m-order mode of the optical frequency comb by Δ(≠ Δ) in response to light resulting from superposing the second output light and the optical frequency comb one over the other. |
