The invention relates to a converter (14) for an electrical energy storage system (12) having an energy transformer (16), an inverter (18) and an interconnected intermediate circuit (20) connected between the energy transformer (16) and the inverter (18) which has at least one intermediate circuit capacitor (22), wherein the energy transformer (16) has a plurality of DC to DC converters (26, 28) which are connected to each other on the intermediate circuit side in parallel and/or in series and each of the DC to DC converters (26, 28) can be connected to an energy storage module (38, 40) of the energy storage system (12) by a first and a second input (34, 36), wherein the intermediate circuit capacitor (22) is a buffer of a storage module equalization circuit (60) at least partially formed by the energy transformer (16). The invention further relates to an energy supply system (10) having a corresponding inverter (14), to a motor vehicle having a corresponding energy supply system (10) and to a method for equalizing charge differences between storage modules (38, 40) of an energy storage system (12). |
