Driver information device and method for prioritised output of a signed message

The driver information device (3) has a receiving unit (9) for receiving a wirelessly transmitted message, which is provided with a signature. The signature is used for characterizing a vehicle (1) as a receiver as well as containing an authorization to a preferred notification of the message. An output unit (13) is designed, when authorization for preferred notification is available to notify the message to a driver of the vehicle. An input unit (15) is used for enquiring the ability of the driver for entering confirmation of message received. An independent claim is also included for a method for processing signed messages for use with driver information device.
